9th Symposium on Costume: “Practices of creative reuse of textiles 19th-20th c.”
The environmetal and social impact of mass production and overconsumption, characteristic of modern societies, has led public and private institutions as well as individuals to look for solutions in the (re)use of old 'useless' materials. Following the zeitgeist of our times, the Hellenic Costume Society decided to dedicate this year's symposium to past and contemporary practices of creative reuse, restoration, recycling or upcycling of textiles and decorative elements, and their new forms and uses.

The symposium will take place online on the 14th of November 2020.

The cost of participation is 5 euros.
